A lot of the fried stuff like oysters had way too much better on them and they were way over cooked. Also the crab legs which is what everybody Raves about didn't seem to be hot in temperature. For the price point there should have been steamed oysters on the bar. And I found a lot of their Seafood was not as hot as it should be on the bar. However they do not offer steamed oysters on the bar you have to order that special. So I have high expectations when it comes to crab legs and Calabash Style seafood. I was one of the old-timers that used to drive all the way to Calabash to get Seafood in the olden days when the Grand Strand was the redneck Riviera. I have traveled around the globe and seafood is one of my specialties. Was with a big wholesale company for 10 years then I went in the military for 20 years. It has a raw bar, a carving station featuring prime rib, and a hibachi grill, in addition to the obvious seafood favorites, like crab legs, shrimp, scallops and mahi-mahi on its 170-item buffet. It has a cartoonish sounding name and logo, but don’t overlook the Giant Crab. Located at the entrance to Barefoot Resort, Preston’s offers a buffet that includes everything from crab legs to baby back ribs and prime rib. Though Crabby Mike’s doesn’t take itself to seriously, there is no indifference in the kitchen – the food is very good. Crabby Mike’sįrom the lighthouse on the building’s exterior to the Crabmobile – a black van with a giant crab on top – Crabby Mike’s is a good-time buffet. And by the way, Captain George’s is minutes away from Mrytlewood Golf Club. In addition to excellent food, Captain George’s offers the added benefit of being located directly across from the PGA TOUR Superstore on 29th Avenue and it has the area’s largest dining room.
